Hey all you out there in radio land…Sons of Bill is in the Top 40!

The Americana Top 40, that is. Nothing to sneeze at though, as we sit nestled firmly between Patterson Hood and Justin Townes Earle this week, and 34 spots between Justin’s dad Steve, who’s been dominating the charts like a bearded, socialist Lil Wayne recently.

The moral of this story is, check out this list of reporting Americana stations and, if one is in your area (or if you feel like picking one out and listening to it online) give them a call and put in a Sons of Bill request. The great thing about Americana radio is, they don’t have to play only the single (like big commercial stations do) so they can play any track you want off the album. Whether they’ll do it or not depends on your charm and persistence.

To the Beach!

Sons of Bill have just added SIX late summer beach shows at exotic locations up and down the eastern seaboard. If you haven’t gotten your share of sand in your toes and/or rock in your bones, get your ass to the coast one of these coming weekends. If you can’t make it to one of these throwdowns, don’t worry. Check out the Tour Dates page because we’ve interspersed some rocking at points further inland (NYC, Philly, Charlotte) throughout the next few weeks too. The Flip Flop to the Red Face tour commences next weekend!
