Update: April 2007
Posted May 2, 2007
Ah yes, April…The spring months have coaxed the sun dresses and pastel collared shirts into full bloom, which in the Sons of Bill world means: We played a lot of frat parties. The action culminated on April 14th when, after playing two afternoon shows at UVa already that weekend, we arrived in Farmville saturday night to a raucous and rowdy Hampden Sydney crowd…only to get shut down by fresh spring rains after only 45 minutes of rocking. Other highlights for the month included the 2nd annual appearance of Sons of Bill at Charlottesville’s own Friday’s After 5 (to mark the 20th anniversary of Friday’s itself), and our first ever show in Blacksburg (featuring the first crowd ever to call Sons of Bill back onstage for not one, but two seperate encores).
Looking to the horizon, Sons of Bill will be transversing the Atlantic Coast in May, making stops from Helen, GA to New York City. Check out the Tour Dates section of this website for the full schedule. Also of interest, the SoBs are planning to briefly enter the studio this month to record three new songs. The resulting sessions will mostly likely be released late summer or fall as a three song EP, a sampler of the much anticipated second full-length album, tentatively scheduled for release Spring 2008.
That’s the news for now. If you haven’t yet, check out the Radio section of this site to see where and from whom you can get your SoB fix over the airwaves.  Until the next, keep an eye out for the Sons of Bill train rolling through a town near you.
keep in the rock,
Sons of Bill
